About the Role:

CrowdStrike is in search of a Systems Engineer with experience managing both virtual and bare metal infrastructure.  You will play an important role in the management and stability of our production systems environments.

This position is open to candidates in Bucharest (Office or Romania Remote), Brasov, Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara (Remote).

Responsibilities:

•  Support of large-scale production systems environments, predominantly running Linux

•  Support of virtualization infrastructure - specifically VMware 6.5+ in a clustered environment

•  Monitoring, maintenance, and operation of a production environment

•  Troubleshooting of server hardware and operating system

•  Automation of common tasks, deploying with an IaaS model, utilizing Chef or similar

•  Participating in an on-call rotation with other team members, subject matter expertise in private cloud

•  Development of simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks,

           dashboards, alarms  (common uses: Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go)

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in a large scale production environment

• Familiarity with public cloud and cloud administration concepts

• Must work effectively and professionally with a worldwide, cross-functional team in multiple time zones

• Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make independent, timely decisions

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills required

• Demonstrate self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment

• Ability to travel 2 - 3 times per year for group meetings and business events (after the Pandemic)

Nice to have skills:

• Chef, Python, or Go experience

• Experience with threat intelligence and mobile technology
