    Other info

Note on "where and how" we can use React in Shopify:

    Shopify Themes:

Themes are mainly build with "lightweight" technologies like HTML, CSS and Javascript. It is possible to use React for some components but it is not recommended as it is increasing code size and complexity for simple structure.

    Shopify Theme Apps:

Those are fairly new feature in shopify and you can basically build "business logic" or custom features like a "sales countdown" banner with a "Theme App". Most of those theme apps are build and highly supported with React and NodeJS. Think of a "shipping progress" bar for example, which will show you how much money is missing until you unlock free shipping, "before" those features where build directly inside a theme, which increased the file size of the theme but now - since yesterday, we can build small custom theme apps. React makes a lot of sense here but it comes always with some backend tech stacks like NodeJS.

    Shopify Apps:

More complicated apps like for example "complex product filtering based on many conditions" are more common to be build with React and NodeJS. Shopify provides a great tooling and support to quickly bootstrap Apps using React + Node.

    Internal Software:

We do plan to build our own internal software for managing projects and small tasks, for that matter React makes more sense of course in combination with NodeJS.

What could be the first React project we could work on?

Our internal planning and management software. Besides this we also want to push Shopify Theme Apps and Shopify Apps in general. Shopify Themes are still a big part of our business but since its very easy, anyone can learn to work with it if they want.

    What you could expect...

    Competitive salary and growth perspectives
Motivated, and international teams with possibility to travel abroad
Additional annual vacation days (starting at 23 and going up to 26)
    Private health coverage
    Possibility of Home office
    Meal tickets
Free transportation in Bucharest and the office next to SunPlaza
Budget for annual professional training sessions
    Free Healthy Snacks
    Friday Pizza Day
If this sounds interesting for you, we are happy to receive your application!
