    Required Experience and Skills:

    • 3+ years of experience in market research, business intelligence, consulting or competitive intelligence
    • Exceptional phone communication skills and excellent English in order to navigate conversations on technology with senior banking executives across the globe
    • Analytical mindset: consume large amounts of information, pay attention to details but focus on the most important, verify conflicting statements, make small decisions quickly, build comprehensive stories from small pieces, develop strategic implications
    • Some understanding of the financial services industry and experience in at least one line of business (retail banking, corporate banking, capital markets or payments) would be highly beneficial
    • Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient: work without micro-management, driving own agenda and consistently delivering high-quality results
    • Effective oral and written communication skills in order to be efficient in a multi-national and multi-cultural organization


    What will you contribute?

    As a Market Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in understanding the banking software market across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Part of the Finastra Global Product Strategy Team, you will help collect customer feedback and competitive intelligence across all lines of banking business (retail and corporate banking, loan origination and servicing, digital channels, capital markets and investment management) in order to drive our financial software product roadmaps and improve sales efficiency.

    Responsibilities & Deliverables:

    Your core responsibilities as a Market Intelligence Analyst will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

    Research and Analyse Competitors:
    • Collect and analyse information on Finastra’s established and upcoming competitors in the global market (other banking software vendors)
    • Help produce competitive battle cards for Finastra’s Global Sales organisation
    • Help other internal stakeholders understand and benchmark competition against Finastra software solutions, determine key strengths and weaknesses, and develop impactful market positioning
    • Monitor banking software industry trends and competitive insights

    Produce Win/Loss Intelligence:
    • Monitor closed opportunities and follow up with opportunity owners to produce reports on trends and strengths and weaknesses of Finastra and our competitors
    • Identify customers and prospects (financial institutions) suitable for customer experience or Win/Loss phone interviews and manage the interview process end-to-end, from first contact through to publishing deliverables
    • Help produce regular updates on customer feedback for various Finastra business units
    Miscellaneous Research Projects:
    • Contribute to our corporate and product strategy by answering the question about Fintech no one else can answer – and become an industry expert
    You will report to the Market Intelligence Manager.
