DevOps Engineer-IS IT Digital Services

Since 2019, IS IT Group Department launched a huge transformation of its organization and services at scale: NextGen IS IT.

Group CIO and IS IT COO setup IS IT Digital competencies center, currently named IS IT Digital services, as the first step of this global transformation as the Catalyst of the Group's internal digital transformation, focusing on digital and data for internal function needs with an End-to-End technical and services approach.

The head of the organization is based in France, and the structure growth up very quickly with a first local organization in Romania for development of Digital Products (Application custom development in Thales Azure Cloud) in 2020. 

Hard Skills

•Tools : Git, Jira, GitLabCI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarQube

•Languages : Ansible, Terraform, Bash

•System : SSH, VNET configuration, DNS configuration, Secret management, Linux

•Infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Cloud foundry) & supervision/monitoring (Azure app insight, ELK, Prometheus)

•DB admin : set-up, backup, roll back

•Basis on some programming language (Python, Java, Rust)

Soft Skills

•Guarantee that the product underlying architecture is state of the art

•Define and develop the means so that products are correctly deployed in production, respecting established performance & security requirements

•Support delivery teams with automated tools and scripts to provision infrastructure resources (compute, network & storage) in a simple and efficient manner

•Express technical and infrastructure consideration with arguments proving the ROI

•Provide technical and infrastructure solution in a step by step, value driven and incremental way

Responsibilities

•Setting up CI/CD pipeline allowing devs to deploy on a daily basis

•Setting up monitoring and alerting on infrastructure and middlewares

•Settings up and configuring middlewares

•Settings up network, firewalls, application gateways, network security groups

•Configuring retry policy, services registries, scale up strategies, redundancy, backups, healthiness and readiness probes

•Setup and configuration analysis tools (SAST, DAST, Static code quality, Load tests, automated integration testing, end to end testing)

•Configuring integration with third party middleware (ESBs, api managers, IAMs)

•Managing logging and telemetry of the applications

•Configuring performance and metrics dashboards

•Configuring DNS, TLS certificates
