    About Our Team

    Thales Systems Romania (TSR) is now developing its capacities in SW development for Space applications in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space (TAS).

    Together we are developing the boot and application software for the new generation of digital transparent processor used in the new Space Inspire satellite product line.

    As high-speed digital signal processing has become a reality taking an increasing place in telecom satellite payloads for today, Thales Alenia Space has introduced the most advanced and disruptive technologies in his new generation of onboard digital transparent processor (DTP) named Spaceflex.

    A typical work day:

    • Synchronize with the team
    • Understand technical requirements
    • Define the validation approach
    • Write the test specification
    • Implement the test scenario using the automated test framework (based on Java & Eclipse)
    • Run the scenario in a native or emulated environment
    • Report any bugs that were detected
    • Analyses non regression test campaign results and investigates failures
    • Update our team knowledge base

    We are searching for a passionate candidate to join our embedded software validation team to help us in our mission to build a better, sustainable life on Earth.

    If the sanitary conditions will allow, travel will be required for transferring the competencies.

    Technical Skills

    Required:

    • Professional experience on automated testing of hardware equipment
    • Knowledge about Java or similar programming language
    • Ability to understand the equipment user manual
    • Knowledge in serial data bus
    • GIT and Jira

    Nice to have:

    • Knowledge in QEMU
    • Knowledge in MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire
    • Knowledge in the ESA Packet Utilization Standard (PUS)
    • Familiar with Continuous Integration environments (e.g.: Jenkins)

    Required:

    • Fluent in English
    • Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
    • Desire to grow on technical and personal levels

    Nice to have:

    • French
    • Presentation skills
