Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of Discovery credentials and schedules
• Determining where in the pattern where a problem may lie
• Solid understanding of discovery of databases, middleware, servers (including cloud), & Network devices
• Advanced knowledge of Service management tools, preferably ServiceNow
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally & written

Responsibilities:

• Sets up the Service Mapping application
• Maps, fixes, and maintains application services
• Performs advanced configuration of the product
• Troubleshooting discovery problems related to application service mapping
• Ability to independently work with Service Owners / Support groups to obtain needed mapping information to successfully complete & subsequently approve an application map
• Coordinate effort with SME & vendor to correct application mapping errors including any discovery errors related to the map
• Error monitoring
• Continual process improvement
• Collaborate with Discovery team to work through pattern problems. i.e. pattern doesn’t exist, pattern needs adjustment, etc.
• Platform testing for upgrades/patches from a mapping perspective
• Creation of SOP & FAQ documentation
