Summit Software Engineer

RightClick began in 2014 when a group of entrepreneurs, with a background in the development of financial software, set out to help banks to manage their instances of a banking system called Summit. To streamline the testing of new versions of Summit, and offer banks a way to expedite upgrades, the group developed a robot that can perform the required testing activities in an automated way. This robot was called RightClick TMS.
TMS records the daily activities of business users and then automates these activities for use as tests that are executed on each new release, ensuring functional correctness and detecting changes to the behavior of the new software.

The ideal candidate background:

• Hands on experience with Summit development and functionality
• Strong knowledge of C / C++/ C# / .Net programming languages
• Experience with Tomcat, Apache, JMS and Active MQ
• Strong SQL (Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL) skills
• Strong analytical thinking
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with client/server architecture
• Self-motivated, able to work both independently and in a team
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Summit API
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Perl, PowerShell, SOAP/REST, Maven, JSON
• Experience of test-driven development or continuous integration or other “DevOps” tools and methods
• Exposure to Windows and Linux environments

Main responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality Summit technical consultancy services to our clients
• Participate in designing new Summit related features
• Develop client required extensions based on Summit API
• Investigate technical and functional defects and propose solutions
• Environment and configuration troubleshooting
• Manage individual or team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
