For our business partner, a company with recognized 16 years experience, working alongside with the transportation industry, finding solutions for the problems they have to face every day, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic PHP Developer, to join their young, dynamic Research and Development team, for a brand new software solution!

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to directly impact the evolution of the product by creating, optimizing, and extending features that bring knowledge and value to a whole industry!


Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in PHP development
A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
Experience working with Laravel (Lumen) or Symfony or CodeIgniter (Bonfire)
Experience with Apache, Nginx
Experience with REST APIs and documentation tools (Swagger, for example);
Experience working with versioning control systems such as Git
Good object-oriented design (OOD) skills
Logical, analytical, and conceptual thinking, with a general proactive attitude, oriented towards solving problems


Nice to have

Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL databases
Knowledge of Elasticsearch, including monitoring tools such as Kibana
Knowledge of IT Infrastructure such as Gail2ban, Nginx, Load Balancers (PgBouncer), OpenVPN, etc

Responsibilities

Design, implement and support multiple applications across various platforms working with open-source solutions for PHP
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
Writes beautiful, well-documented code, primarily in PHP
Revise, update, refactor and debug code
Ensures that all code produced is highly secure.
Contributes to feature planning and new development plus support.
Communicates with team members in remote environments and leverages real-time messaging and video tools (Slack, Zoom, etc.).
