IT Business Consultant - Insurance

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum of 3+ years as a Business Consultant, Business Systems Consultant or Systems Consultant
• Broad and deep knowledge of life insurance products, services, markets, and technology across the business value chain, or a defined domain segment
• Extensive experience in supporting the planning and deployment of process and technology initiatives
• Ability to think creatively, make decisions, and solve problems
• Knowledge of Linux, PHP and MongoDB
• Exposure to Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server

• Provide an IT interface to business units
• Analyze and define business requirements
• Work very closely with business units and the technical development teams on all projects
• Create specifications and features of a future release
• Serve as a liaison to the business community and participates in user and task analysis to maintain the business perspective
• Responsible for analyzing and designing enhancements to the application or new business requirements
• Identify and define detailed product functional requirements and use cases, set up and maintain the internal tracking reports/matrix as applicable
• Provide an overview of scope for ongoing large business initiatives to help identify dependencies and trends
