A typical work day in Integration:
- Agile ceremonies
- Solving any pending or blocking issues
- Installation of the ATC software, integration of the surveillance sources and on the job training at the customer site (travel required)
- Supporting live systems via telephone and VPN, customer assistance, issue investigation and warranty visits
- Working closely with System team to ensure the operational needs of the customer are met
- Setting up the system with the Hardware team to ensure the customer systems are ready for Factory and Site Acceptance (FAT, SAT)
- Setting up customer software both in factory and on-site
- Creating customer releases, installation medium and site documentation (test plans, transition plans, version description documents)
A typical work day in Validation:
- Agile ceremonies
- Solving any pending or blocking issues
- Verifying and Validating Product Enhancements and Problem Reports raised as part of the product enhancement roadmap or issues discovered during testing
- Continuous Product Testing as part of the product release drumbeat
- Setting up the reference rig with the software releases provided by Software
- Generating Product Test Procedures and Results plus contributing to the product Operating Handbooks and requirements set
- Raising issues in the configuration management tool and owning them throughout their lifecycle
- Carrying out the process improvement activities such as automated testing
We are now creating a new team and we look for a fellow integration & validation engineer to help us keeping the skies safe.
If the sanitary conditions will allow, travel will be required for transferring the competencies.
Technical Skills
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience deploying systems involving Linux, Routers and external sources (ideally air traffic surveillance sources such as Radars, AFTN/AMHS interfaces, ADS-B interfaces)
- Knowledge of configuration and change management tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Ability to understand and debate on complex technical issues
- Linux
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of ADA / C / C++ / Java programming languages
- Git, SVN
- An understanding of requirements and configuration management, aeronautical Software and Hardware standard (e.g. DO-278) and Air Traffic Control
- Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Perl etc.
