Requirements
Master’s or Engineering degree, in Mechanical Development, Electronics Engineering or Physics
Professional experience in mechanical or product development
Experience in technology and manufacturing of complex electronic systems and in automation of production processes incl. assembly such as soldering wires to PCBA, screwing and potting
Experience with assembly processes as laser/ultrasonic/electric welding, injection molding, pressing and stamping and similar
Material science experience and know-how preferable
Mechanical design with respect to DFM methodology
Ability to use 2D/3D MCAD software
Knowledge about PCBA manufacturing would be a plus
Electronics and SW knowledge would be a plus
Matlab/Octave/Labview know-how would be a plus
Good experience/knowledge of phase gate design process
Understanding of IATF-16949 requirements, ideally also IS
Solid knowledge of statistics, DOE and execution of tests (DFSS Green Belt would be a plus); experience with development of test concepts and performing of module and system testing.
Experience in writing protocols and reports for design verification, design validation.
Experience with sensor development and manufacturing would be a plus
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude
Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with internal and external technical personnel
Ability to work independently, lead innovation of new technology process & product. Self-driven
Ability to prioritize tasks and get things done
Strong design for quality orientation (Design for Six Sigma)
Advanced communication skills
Fluent in English
7+ years in mechanical or product development
Technical
Initiate, lead and complete development projects (LEAP, NPI) of new technology process & products
Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers as required on LEAP, NPI or Sustaining projects
Collaborate with various vendors to identify processes and tools required for a new design
Lead or guide a small team
Knowledge Sharing
Secure proper documentation / knowledge transmission to other TE engineering groups and TE BU
Mentor and coach other engineers in business unit.
Provides guidance and complex subject matter training to others
Manage follow up of engineering details along project development
