The Enterprise Solution Architect, Integration (please note that the internal job title is: Technical Director, Enterprise Architecture, Integration) will be responsible for the direction and promoting of Estée Lauder Companies' continuous technology evolution, including strategic technology decisions, architectural upgrades, and partner integrations. In this capacity, the Enterprise Architect will engage with Brands, Regions, Functions and Technical leaders and teams globally to set direction and oversee, accelerate, and inspire the evolution of our technology capabilities. The Enterprise Architect will report directly to the Global Vice President of Enterprise Architecture. He/She is well versed in emerging technology innovations, trends, and awareness of the current happenings in the technology community.

    • The role requires a deep understanding of Estée Lauder Companies business strategy and will define what key capabilities the business needs, which will be enabled by technology.
    • You envisage the business potential of the relevant established/emerging technologies and startups.
    • Strong ability to critically evaluate new technology for appropriate functional and business fit into the ELC technology inventory.
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous architecture reviews that adhere to ELC technical standards and best practices.  Drive strategy and vision for platform architecture.  Define standard cloud patterns and approach (Azure, Google, AWS Cloud Platform) and direct technology selection, including the use of container strategies (Docker and Kubernetes)
    • Strong demonstrated knowledge of B2B Enterprise Integration Patterns (Synch/Asynch, Pub/Sub, Consumer/Producer, Request/Response, Priority, Streaming, Event-Driven, Dead Letter etc.)
    • Strong demonstrated experience with B2B Enterprise Integration Platforms (Queues, WebMethods, SnapLogic, Boomi, Mulesoft, iPaaS)
    • Strong understanding of SOA and microservice architectures and how they relate to integration practices and problems (REST/Graph/SOAP).
    • Lead by example with application architecture patterns with skills in one or several programming languages and frameworks (Python, R, Scala, C++, Java, .NET, Ruby, Angular, React, NodeJS)
    • Strong experience with messaging protocols (EDI, JMS, AMQP, WCF, ESP DSLs, Oracle)
    • Experience driving consistency, standards and adoption across diverse internal and external partnerships.
    • Champion execution frameworks and patterns to enable and accelerate agile software development practices (Test-driven development, Automation, DevSecOps maturity management including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Canary deployments)
    • Strategically and creatively looks at complex problems and systems to drive the correct implementation of the Enterprise technology and architectural standards, compliance and governance.
    • Create technical KPIs, goals, and performance metrics across the ELC technology ecosystem to ensure capacity to scale stable operations while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
    • You ensure that overall Enterprise Architecture Designs and Tool/Vendor selections facilitate and/or support the strategy and execution techniques.
    • You create internal and external technology followership.
    Organizational Leadership:
    • Directly lead the creation of enterprise technology standards and guidelines. Proactively engage with the business stakeholders across the company and the security, enterprise risk, data privacy, enterprise applications management, products and platforms engineering pod, SRE and operations.
    • Partner with the Product and Technical leaders across Global Brands, Regions and Functions to set the cultural tone for the engineering and product organization, ensuring that the architecture is focused on enabling and delivering the roadmap, and inspired and motivated to build world-class software
    • Actively represent ELC technology in business and partner meetings and lead key technical engagements with our strategic technology partners.
    • Leads organizations in delivering all responsibilities for this role, promoting a culture based on our guiding principles of Brand led, Consumer centricity, Co-Creation, agility, and empowerment.
    • You take bold actions and are a change leader, advocate for change with confidence, take ownership and personal responsibility for implementing change, and leverage communications, goal setting, and metrics to ensure broader understanding and accountability.

    Application technologies:
    • Strong experience in Azure and AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud technologies, patterns and best practices
    • Integration Technologies
    • Strong demonstrated knowledge of B2B Enterprise Integration Patterns (Synch/Asynch, Pub/Sub, Consumer/Producer, Request/Response, Priority, Streaming, Event-Driven, Dead Letter etc.)
    • Proficient in diagramming technology using Visio, Lucidchart or ConceptDraw.
    • Proficient in PowerPoint and other office products – Word, Excel.
    • Cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies
    • Big Data Analytics, Data Architecture & Modeling
    •  Mobile technologies 
    • Strong understanding of the Asia Pacific (APAC) and China technology ecosystem (Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, JD, Lazada, Rakuten) and emerging new platforms would be a plus.
