Azure Data Engineer

1. Mission

The Data Engineer will be implementing the data strategy for the entire French Region in Webhelp. As part of the construction of the new Azure cloud data platform, your mission is to integrate the data and to make it available to reporting officers.

2. Main activities

A. Development

You are responsible for the design and development of data flows:

Support the client in the specification of his functional needs
Analyse source data (internal data of Webhelp or external)
Write technical specifications
Develop all ETL data integration processes (data lake, data warehouse, cubes)
Model and enrich databases


B. Maintenance and support

You are responsible for the corrective and progressive maintenance of the same flows:

Check the correct execution of ETL processing
Process user tickets (incidents, requests for changes)
Check the consistency and quality of the data in the data warehouse
Optimize ETL processing
Provide remote user support

4. Skills required

Master’s degree in computer science with at least 5 years of professional experience.
You will need to master: the development of Databricks notebooks, orchestration by Azure Data Factory, storage by Azure DataLake, Azure Analysis Services tabular cubes, Power BI reports.
A solid knowledge of SQL is required, both for creating data structures, transforming data, and discovering anomalies.
English Proficiency (French is nice to have)
Soft skills: Autonomy, Collaborative spirit, Taking initiative, Force of proposal, Leadership, Interpersonal skills and the Ability to propose and facilitate technical meetings.
