    The Data Scientist participates in the areas of data science, industrial analytics, data-driven prognostics, data mining, and machine learning. The candidate researches and assesses next-generation technologies for diagnostics and prognostics of machinery and data-driven modeling and optimization of complex systems.

    Key responsibilities

    • Develops and deploys modern machine learning, statistical and ensemble methods for finding patterns and models from business and operational data.
    • Integrate ML solutions in business workflows
    • Works with multi-functional teams focused on enterprise data, data quality, business intelligence and operational data to deliver data driven insights
    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Operations Research from top tier institutes
    • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
    • Strong background in the fundamentals of probability, statistics, linear algebra and matrices
    • Exposure in Python/ R
    • Exposure/ understanding of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision trees, artificial neural networks, hyperparameter optimization techniques, etc.) and their real- world advantages/ drawbacks
    • Good understanding of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (properties of distributions, statistical tests)

    • Proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment for automating processes with shell scripting
    • Proven skills and record of accomplishment (GitHub, open source etc.) in the use of current state of the art machine learning frameworks such as Keras, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, H2O, Spark etc. in developing Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications
    • Experience with big data stack (Spark, Hadoop, Storm, Hive & Pig) and NoSQL stores is advantageous
    • Background on Natural Language Processing(NLP) or Image Analytics is desirable
