Scrum Master / Project Manager

• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc).
• Previous experience as a team lead.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Must know latest scrum methodologies & agile methodologies.
• Need to understand the scope of the upcoming enabler work and to collaborate with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological infrastructures that will host the new business functionality.
• Working experience in JIRA.
• Nice to have: large scale implementation experience & S4/HANA experience.

• Planning: working with program leads, and stakeholders to develop plan for delivery of work within a defined Program workstream.

• Execution: Monitor and track approved work. Manage risks and issues. Report out on status of work

• Management: work with Program leadership to develop Program roadmap. Monitor team effectiveness and provide coaching

• Specific to Agile:
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Guide the team on how to get the most out of self-organization
- Guide the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the scaled Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
