Thales Alenia Space develops the SPACEOPS solution for the configuration and monitoring of telecom satellites.
The PTM (Payload Traffic Manager) is part of the Mission Control Center (MCC) of the Thales Alenia Space SpaceOps solution which allows satellite RF traffic planning, configuration, and communication monitoring.
•Manage the project schedule and commit on deliveries
•Make sure the team is loaded and keep an eye on backload health
•Identify hidden problems and make them visible
•Escalates delays and blocking issues
•Maintain and cultivate a continuous improvement (kaizen) spirit
•Apply host leadership or servant leadership principles
•Have periodic 1:1 meetings with each member of the team to provide feedback, manage objectives and performance
•Monitor team engagement and act when appropriate
•Is aware of team members’ issues and development goals and tries to support or communicate them to the tribe lead
•Support the tribe lead with performance management and career development discussions
•Has experience in leading people (formally or informally)
•Is an advanced practitioner of agile methodologies
•Has basic knowledge of project management (planning, estimations, KPIs, reporting)
•Is comfortable with servant or host leadership principles
•Has good communication and negotiation skills
•Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
•Solution oriented while being open to embrace new technologies
•Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
•Highly proficient in spoken and written English
