Internship Summary
The Play Therapist intern will collaborate with the WMF Romania psychologist in developing and facilitating the play therapy activities with children and youth in the WMF activities in order to direct children to healing and healthier lives. The play therapist may also support staff with trainings on self-care or child care and education.

Qualifications/Education and Experience

• Currently studying for or graduated with psychology or counseling degree
• Studies or experience with play therapy
• Ability to collaborate well with team
• Motivated and responsible individual able to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
• Commitment to building relationships with and investing in the WMF Romania staff community
• Understands and supports the vision and mission of Word Made Flesh Romania
• Prepared to model a healthy life for children and families

Community Involvement
Interns will spend approx. 20 hrs a week on:

• Community prayer
• Formation reading and discussion
• Language acquisition
• Intentional interaction and service among the vulnerable

Terms and Conditions

• Worksite Location: Galati, Romania
• Full-time: 40 hours a week
• This is a support-based internship; staff commit to raising support for their salary and expenses
• Weekly Romanian language tutoring will be expected in order to fulfill responsibilities
