Requirements
Degree in Electronics, Automatics, Electrical Engineering or similar
Understanding and analysis of analog circuits such as operational amplifiers, analogue switches, DC/DC linear and switching regulators topologies (buck, boost, flyback, etc.), digital circuits and LEDs drivers
Knowledge of and some experience with hardware design, PCB design tools (e.g., OrCad, Eagle, Altium Designer preferred)
Working knowledge of using a simulation tool is a plus (SPICE, Simplis, Simetrix, Proteus, etc.)
Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and interpreting test results
Prior experience with DC/DC Regulators is a plus
Microcontrollers programming skill is a plus
Good communication skills
Technical documents writing
Presentation Skills
Good verbal and written English
The Power Management Applications Engineer is responsible for supporting, assisting and developing new evaluation boards and reference designs to highlight the key features of Analog Microchip’s devices. This involves working in laboratory with modern tools to evaluate and/or debug application issues, support development tools and writing application notes. His/her responsibilities also include testing and creating test reports for the new devices.
Job Description:
Technical assistance for Microchip’s DC-DC Linear and Switching PMICs
Generate & design new applications ideas, Reference Designs, Evaluation and Demo Boards, actively participate in Total System Solutions ICs integration
New IC testing and validation, working in laboratory
Give support for and/or create technical collateral material, such as data sheets, training material, application notes and other documentation
Help with definition, validation and simulation of new IC architectures
Occasional support for customers’ designs by giving technical guidance on solving problems/Occasional technical support and guidance for customers’ designs
Occasional travel abroad for short periods of time
