Thales Romania delivers advanced signaling, supervision and control systems for railways in close cooperation with Thales Germany, information systems for England’s motorways and major roads in close cooperation with Thales UK, Human Computer Interfaces (HCI) for air and land simulators in cooperation with Thales France.

Thales Romania also works with Thales Global Services, in particular with Thales Corporate Engineering, which is providing tools and methods for all the engineers of the group.

The development will be performed in close co-operation with experts in Thales Romania & Thales France and requires regular travelling between these locations.

Job summary:

Cognitive Services is an umbrella term for several techniques related to Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge management and data mining. At Thales Corporate Engineering, we explore the use of such techniques to improve efficiency of our engineering workbenches.

                                                                                 

As a DevOps of the Cognitive Services 4 Engineering tool suite, your responsibilities are:

• Understand the functional aspects of the delivery by constructively discussing with the Product Owner;

• Develop, build, test, deploy, run and operate in production;

• Design and script the DevOps infrastructure and processes

• Make sure that artifacts are made available in corresponding artifactories;

• Meet code quality and security standards;

• Apply best practices (both development and operational best practices);

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies.

Required competencies/experience:

• Domain experience

  • Experience of creating scripts to automate the DevOps process from zero to production

  • Experience in horizontal scaling, load-balancing

  • Experience with SSO authentication

• Continuous Deployment ecosystem:

  • Docker, Docker-compose

  • Microsoft Azure nice to have

  • Pivotal Cloud Foundry nice to have

• Authentication

  • Active Directory

  • (Single-sign-on)

• Source code management + continuous integration
