Main Duties and Responsibilities
Attend all board meetings of the company and ensure that operational strategic issues are discussed.
Issue guidance to the Company's executive officers and senior management
Oversee and take into consideration senior management actions and decisions by conducting regular reviews of the effectiveness of the senior management and its internal control systems.
Ensure that all management is aware at all times of all material matters of the company.
Discuss the company's strategy along with the other members of the Company's board of directors.
Assume the appropriate measures for the Company's strategy to be implemented.
Determine, along with the Board of Director's the Company's structure and hierarchy.
Keeping up to date with the latest local EU legislation, rules and best practice regarding risk management.
Responsible for setting and monitoring the criteria for evaluating third parties offering services to the company.
Forge and maintain relations of trust with shareholders/partners and external authorities
Reviewing/identifying and improving internal processes, ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
University Degree in Law, Business, Economics or any other relevant field.
Previous experience of 2-3 years at Director level within a firm with similar operations
Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with external financial regulatory bodies.
Capability and experience of interacting credibly at Board level and with regulators
Understanding MiFID II requirements and the core of the Financial Services Sector
Understand Senior Managers Regime and GDPR
