Network Engineer

What are we looking for:
• University degree with experience in an operational IT or Telecom environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the IP domain
• Solid knowledge of Switching & Routing protocols, TCP/IP & OSI protocol stack, routers and IP based technologies
• Good knowledge of LAN switching technologies (ARP principle, MAC address, VLAN, Link aggregation)
• Knowledge of MPLS technology (MPLS VPN, VRF configuration)
• Good knowledge of routing concepts (packet handling along the path, interpret the component of the routing table, VLAN routing, static routing)
• Work experience with IP networks (switches and routers) from Cisco or similar vendor: configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Good knowledge of CLI - configuration, troubleshooting
• Excellent understanding of operations context
Working language(s) : Romanian and English

What will you be doing:
• Involvement on specific project assignments with development for Network Infrastructure domains
• Carry out investigations and interpret diagnosis to validate the root cause of network incidents, identifies and carries out resolution actions or escalates as required
• Follow up and analyze the QoS indicators related to Network Infrastructure Acess domains targeting quality improvements and service availability
• Level 2 technical support related to operation and administration of Networks Access Infrastructure equipment and services
• Solving within SLA quality and time range faults raised by other technical entities
• Participate in On-Call rotation responding to alerts and systems issues
• Owning, resolving and escalating to equipment/applications suppliers technical problems related to Networks Access Infrastructure domains in-line with technology agreed KPI targets
• Produces accurate systems reports, trouble tickets and incident reports
