Electrical Design Engineer

-Relevant Engineering degree (Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering/Building Services or similar);

-Minimum 4 years of experience of designing electrical systems in a variety of building types;

-Project experience should include participation from the design phase through the final construction close-out;

-Detailed technical knowledge of design capability;

-Familiarity with Romanian and European design standards and Health and Safety regulations;

-Good experience of writing specifications, design, and detailing of Electrical systems;

-Working knowledge of computer aided design package AutoCAD and other specific software used to perform electrical design tasks;

-Analytical and problem solving skills;

-Effective verbal and listening skills;

-Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;

-Experience in cable sizing programs (Ecodial/EDSA/ETAP/Amtech or similar);

-Experience in lighting calculations (Dialux/Dialux Evo).

For one of our clients, a multidisciplinary consulting company and one of the largest professional services firms in the world that offers solutions in the constructions industry, we are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer.





The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing design and supervision services within the projects undertaken by the company.



Activities and responsabilities:

-Inspection and monitoring of the progress of the electrical works as the designer’s representative, aiming to ensure the works are carried out at an appropriate quality, and are in accordance with the Designer’s specifications;

-Prepare progress and technical reports as required;

-Assist at testing & commissioning process and provide reports as required;

-Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings;

-Coordinate with CAD Technicians concerning project requirements and timelines;

-Ensure that all designs are reviewed to the required standards;

-Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met;

-Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to the Line Manager;

-Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required;

-Contribute to the delivery of the BU strategy including supporting the companies approach to sustainability;

-Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects;

-Calculate lighting levels within rooms using Dialux software;

-Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline;

-Feedback on all business development opportunities;

-Establish power loads using different software packages;

-Lightning protection assessment;

-Prepare services drawings for electrical infrastructure, lighting, small power, fire alarm systems, security and IT containment etc. in 2D or 3D as required;

-Size and choose cable types using various software packages;

-Prepare electrical panels schematics;

-Write the specification for the projects and establish the schedules for all equipment;

-Prepare bill of quantities;

-Prepare due diligence reports;

-Coordinate with the Mechanical design engineers and all other relevant disciplines;

-Liaise with the design team members to convey the requirements of the Mechanical and Electrical service to them, as well as understanding the client brief;
