Java Application Developer

• Strong skills in conception and development of REST APIs.
• Experience in Java and Json.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and/or NodeJS is a plus.
• Experience in designing micro-services and using resilient anti fragile patterns.
• Experience in using Kinesis or Kafka as a message consumer.
• Experience in API design and development
• Permanently pursuing excellence in the quality of the code delivered
• Ready to act as a pioneer towards other team members
• Team player, communicative within his working circle
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• French is a plus

• He/she is involved, inside his squad, in the development of APIs that will be the basis of our strategy
• Following agile methodology, he/she is involved on a day-to-day basis in the analysis, coding/building and delivery of APIs to the application areas in scope.
• He/she provides technical support to the other members/developers of the DevOps

Responsibilities:

• design and build REST APIs to expose towards front-end applications data belonging to PA Group System and stored either in the original database of this system or in a cache database for performance optimization reasons
• update data stored in the original database from the same front-end applications
• design and implement the cache database
• build message-queuing middleware
• review specifications and code supplied by DevOps team members, check the performance and the respect of the development standards, deliver formal acceptance of their work
• contribute, by providing analysis and recommendations not directly linked to business requirements with continuous improvement of applications
• stay permanently focused on the robustness and sustainability of these applications.
• setting up the insurance product in the application his/her team is part of by means of product parameters
• in charge with the data migration from the source local systems (to be decommissioned) to the target application
• control quality of delivered data
