Business Sales Controller
Location: Ilfov / North Bucharest
THE COMPANY Our client is a multinational leading pharmaceutical wholesaler and pharmacy chain in Romania, part of a European integrated Health Services leader, largest pharmacy operator in Europe with presence in almost 30 countries. Understanding the important role played in the society contributing to people’s health, in the current context of the coronavirus epidemics, their team strives to maintain the delivery flow intact so the medicines get to the patients uninterruptedly but also keep vigilant on avoiding risks and ensure business continuity, growth and profitability THE ROLE The newly created position, of Business Sales Controller, reporting to Sales Director, serve as a business partner to the Head of Sales/Business and other Departments in strategic decision from a finance perspective. The job holder will take a proactive role in controlling the business performance and supporting the Business and Sales Manager to achieve targeted result. He / She will play a key role in the continued development of deliverables including reporting, budgeting, and planning process by partnership with the business leaders across the company. Ensure, that sales operations adhere to financial, legal requirements and company’s practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES Identify opportunities and risks to improve the business performance Prepare monthly forecast and weekly latest best estimation for the current month Review historical data, predict future results, analyze and explain budget deviation Profitability analysis Will be actively involved in the annual budget exercise, implementation of internal controls and track KPIs to measure performance. To really know what drives the business, will define ways to measure and report on the key indicators of it.
PROFILE The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, experience, skills, and attributes: • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a Master’s Degree preferred in economic field / ACCA optional • A minimum of 5 years of progressive financial/ operations experience, preferably in similar FP&A / analysis roles in an international organization (ideally FMCG) • Strong Operational planning, business experience, financial understanding, and analytical capability • Excellent systems skills including Excel & PowerPoint are required • Strong computer skills and data manipulation/analysis capability (internal systems are: Qlik, Cros from Crisoft, Charisma) The person in this role should have a natural interest in the business, the products, the customers, and the way everything influences the results. To be able to challenge people in the business, strong communication and analytical skills are necessary, along with the ability to translate figures to non-financial people.
