You will take part within the IBM team in the enhancement of an integrated application for Deutsche Telekom's AAA platform (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting), which is spread over 15 locations with around 300 applications instances and over 40 external interfaces.

The platform manages bandwidth, and resource distribution to secure IP and Internet access for more than 20 Million households in Germany and IBM is developing and maintaining around 30 different application packages written in several programming languages. Currently set up in a completely virtualized environment a migration to a cloud platform is planned in the future.

You will join a team helping customers to meet their business objectives and become a team member in an agile team that will take over E2E responsibility for Radadmin application.

The team will cover responsibility areas like: Scrum Master, Software architecture, Java Development, Database Development, testing and maintenance.

Requirements:

Very good knowledge (> 5 years) required in: Testing of Web Applications in complex envoironments
Good knowledge required in: Testing tools Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin
Good knowledge required in: Understanding for error detection and error tracking, orientation in complex Linux-based environments
Good knowledge required in: Java Web programming, programming of test tools and test evaluation tools
Experience required in: usage of GIT (or similar), a defect management tool (e.g. ClearQuest, JIRA, Remedy), and a build/make environment (Jenkins, Maven)
Experience required in: working on common code in a team with agile procedures.
Experience required in creation, reviews, and maintenance of test documents.

Preferred Expertise:

Language skills: Fluent German in reading and writing
Experience in agile methodologies - SCRUM

Responsibilities:

As a software test engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with developers to evaluate software developed for Deutsche Telekom.
You'll build a test plan with test cases based on user stories.
Using testing methodologies and tools, you'll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. This is your chance to gain skills in new areas, including automation and case management while sharing your software testing experience with your team.
