Connect44 was founded in the heart of Switzerland. Our goal was to support Telecom Operators and Equipment Manufacturers to design, manage and Optimise Mobile Networks. Starting with some of the first 2G voice networks, we began to grow our team of professionals to equip ourselves for new projects with new technologies and new ways of working. Investing substantial amounts of our budget on training, we started to move into 3G then 4G. Soon came the changes to IP networks, VOIP and preparing networks for large amounts of data by modernisation of old analogue networks to the digital standards. Over the past years Connect44 has steadily developed key longterm partnerships with its clients in many European countries with offices in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania and Chile.Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in Telecommunication projects or at least 1 year in the Engineering department.
Strong knowledge of Detail Plan Design and Link Design with planning tool: Link Budget calculation, Interference analysis, Frequency Plan and Capacity allocation.
Experience in DCN network design.
Dimensioning and frequency planning in a microwave network.
Strong practical experience for MW link design with IQ-Link, APT, MapInfo, Netsite, Xakta and other planning tools and software.
Very good practical experience in analyzing Line of Sight (LoS) for p2p communication systems.
Strong knowledge of mobile networks architecture (GSM, UMTS, LTE).
Excellent communication skills.
Fluent written and spoken English. Intermediate-Advanced German skills are highly desirable.

Microwave network topology optimization.
Microwave link engineering design including interference calculation (using IQ-Link).
Capacity planning and rack layout configuration.
Troubleshooting during the rollout during the installation and integration phase.
Microwave design activities – Pre-planning and Link Engineering.
