    DBA Exadata

    Role purpose:
    Provide and operate IT infrastructure services for various Database technologies and infrastructure. Constantly optimize our infrastructure and deliver cost efficient services of high quality. Working for international customers in cross-cultural teams is substantial in infrastructure services.

    Incident & Problem Management:
    • Responsible for fulfillment of SLA parameters
    • Ensure service continuity
    • Perform trouble shooting
    • Perform problem analysis
    • Evaluate security patches and bug fixes
    • Apply security patches and bug fixes
    • Create and document operational standards

    Service Requests & Change Management:
    • Prepare, implement and document changes
    • Evaluate the need for new releases and patches
    • Install new releases and patches
    • Analyze customer’s requirements and configure the infrastructure accordingly
    • Plan and coordinate upgrades of infrastructure components
    • Create roadmap for infrastructure components

    Project Support & Service Delivery:
    • Implement new infrastructure in a complex environment
    • Perform operational acceptance of new infrastructure components
    • Design new infrastructure components
    • Create implementations plans

    Accountable for the administration and build of different IT infrastructure environments related to Database area

    Customers, suppliers & 3rd parties:
    • Request bug fixes and product improvements from suppliers
    • Support supplier’s 3rd level and engineering in analyzing and solving problems in their products
    • Track and control supplier’s deliverables and SLAs.
    • Provide consulting to customers, implement the infrastructure and integration in operations
    • Solve incoming incidents
    • Analyze of problems /optimizations and support in defining solutions

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
    • have excellent knowledge of the implemented hard and software components
    • highly skilled in cluster and virtualization technologies
    • have a deep understanding of the used hard and software interfaces
    • leading in professional competence and give direction in developing the teams expertise

    • Strong understanding of ITIL
    • Excellent understanding of IT-Service Management

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:
    • Excellent knowledge of DC Environment
    • High standard read/write capabilities in English
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Database administration.
    • MongoDB and NOSQL DB experience
    • Exadata Experience.
    • Cloud Database Experience
    • Cassandra
