ESTIMATOR (also for juniors)

McDermott in the Czech Republic is currently looking for mechanical, piping, civil or electrical professionals to join our “global estimating hub” in Brno and to collaborate on international projects across all McDermott offices worldwide!

You do not need to know how to estimate, we will teach you everything you need. All you need to have is a technical background in the respective discipline and a desire to learn something new.

You must have:
- Technical University / Technical High School education
- Very good English (min. B2)
- Punctuality – estimators are detail-oriented as well as able to see the data in context
- Willingness to learn estimating and develop in this discipline
- Interest in Oil&Gas industry

You should also have:
- Great communication skills – estimators need to communicate with each other globally
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Be a team player!

And what estimators do?
- Prepare complete discipline budget estimates
- Keep themselves up-to-date regarding the market trend for equipment and commodity cost in the discipline
- Develop an estimation bill of material from a basic design using engineering documents and drawings, engineering standards and previous project database
