Data Engineer

We are growing our talented tech team in Romania so we are hiring a Data Engineer, who will be directly involved in the development of our projects. Every engineer contributes to the vision of how we grow the product and is directly involved in vetting new and existing features and defining the technical solution. Your main mission will be to participate in maintaining and building new features for our affiliate system, b2b portal and myAccount applications.  For some of these apps you will get the change to re-build them using a modern approach starting from the technical solution phases. What you'll do:

• Build / maintain the company data warehouse that will be / is designed to bring business value through well build reporting, data mining and analytics;
• Design and implement data models to support analytical use-cases;
• Build large scale tabular datasets from structured and semi-structured data from various customer support data sources;
• Develop, design, build and launch robust and reliable pipelines to move large-scale data;
• Build intelligent data products to support high-availability and reliability of the data platform;
• Improve the batch processing and data pipeline performance;
• Work in cross-zones Scrum teams, informing requirements and design and seeing it all through to implemented code in production;

•  4+ years of Engineering experience, preferably Data Engineering with RDBMS, SQL/ NoSQL, Hadoop and Spark are considered a plus;
• knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
• Experience in integrating Big Data machine learning solutions with Python or R;
• Experience operating within the cloud, preferably Amazon Web Services;
• Experience with Web based application technologies;
