    Position Summary:
    A Software Engineer in this position will focus their time designing, developing and testing software for complex embedded devices. As a SW Engineer they will be expected to a core member of the team leading the effort on few projects, contribute on other projects and, more importantly, mentor less experienced engineers and interns. The person most successful in this position will have a strong understanding of operating systems such as LINUX; BSP development; and driver development. Besides these, they should have a strong domain expertise in WiFi, BT or other technologies. He/she should also have solid knowledge of and experience in embedded C/C++; passion for developing new products, and experience working the complete SW development life cycle.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Reviews High-Level Design Document (HDD) and Detailed Design Document (DDD) and verifies them against product features, insuring Requirements Traceability Matrix;
    • Provides impact analysis for design changes;
    • As part of a matrix organization work alongside with architects, engineers, designers, testers and product managers in multiple locations as needed to help integrate and productize the solution;
    • Define use cases, negotiate interfaces and implement prototypes and solutions in the emerging field of navigation related online services to supply solutions at and beyond market expectations;
    • Writing C or C++ code and be aware about code modularity, code performance, OOP and component driven code, self-explanatory code style;
    • Integration of new functionality into an existing C solution;
    • Configures Autosar components using specific tools (e.g. Davinci Configurator, CANoe, etc.)
    • Analyze malfunctions in terms of time response, stability, robustness of components, as well as of the entire system;
    • Analyses the system behavior and predicts root-causes of reported issues;
    • Acts as mentor or coach for less experienced engineers;
    • Act according the standards of the automotive industry and in-car applications and software development processes.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • At least 3 years of experience as a software developer, system engineer or system analyst
    • Solid knowledge of C and/or C++ with hands-on experience
    • Solid embedded and real-time applications development experience
    • Knowledge of Vector Autosar and configuration tools
    • Strong Linux expertise
    • Strong UML, Design Patterns and Linux system analysis expertise
    • Familiar with Agile development methodologies and test driven development
    • Strong knowledge in inter-process communication, multithreading, networking
    • Very good interpersonal skills, ability to present status to both technical and non-technical persons
    • Ability to train and coach engineers
    • Good English communication skills both written and verbal
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations
    • Experience in automotive / infotainment systems
    • Knowledge of basic project management (collecting requirements and defining project scope, estimating activities resources and
    • duration, develop/manage project team, control product quality, risk management and status reporting)
    • Basic hardware (electronics) knowledge would be a plus

    Eligibility Requirements:
    Willingness to travel (0-20% of time) depending on the project necessities
