WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?




Required:

• University Degree in Finance/Business-Related field + relevant finance work experience;

• A good understanding of FMCG and Retail environment with an ability to bring insights supported by external and internal data / trends;

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Access and deep Excel skills;

• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills and attention to detail;

• Experience of working in a fast paced, cross functional environment with tight turnaround times for deliverables;

• Excellent communication skills and demonstrates resilience and leadership when handling challenge / difficult conversations;

• Fluent English- verbal and written.




Preferred:

• Proficient knowledge of SAP and other financial planning systems (e.g. BPC, Anaplan);

• Experience of working in a Commercial environment preferably for an FMCG, but not mandatory;

• Experience of working effectively in a remote/multi-cultural team environment.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?




In your role as European Category Finance Business Partner you will work with an energetic business team to and provide valuable support to:





•Partner with Category Marketing to provide a consolidated overview of Brand building spend (advertising and promotion spend), including an understanding of the variances, to ensure financial integrity of Category Total Brand Building for actuals, forecasts and budgets;

•Support owner of consolidated European Category P&L providing Country & Brand level visibility, to ensure adherence to European/Corporate deadlines;


•Work with external agencies, where required, to ensure proper visibility and controls;


•Control on the overall advertising and promotion process, managing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance deliverables;


•Ad-hoc project work as required.


•Establishing strong relationships is imperative and working as part of the integrated Commercial Finance team, ensuring understanding of the complexities of the Category and its Markets.


•You will have a natural curiosity, and inquisitive approach to the role and business environment.


•You will be involved in reviews of the external environment / competitor analysis on an ad-hoc basis.


•You will link in with Commercial Finance Global business partners to monitor progress on finalisation of budget/forecasts/actuals.


•You will have a continuous improvement mindset, working closely with peers and providing support / coaching to direct report(s) and ensure that issues are investigated to understand root cause and are addressed in an effective manner.

Moderate travel is required to location that you are assigned to work with, but mobility is a key for future career development.
