C# Developer with Visual Basic

Your mission: Within the Société Générale Group, you will join the Business Solution Center (BSC), which is a shared services center and is part of the Société Générale Group's Resources and Innovation Department.
  Your Role in a Nutshell:

• Validate accuracy and sufficiency of functional specifications for newly requested tools/components/features;
• Write code according to functional specifications following a test-driven approach;
• Ensure accurate functioning of newly developed features through appropriate unit/integration/regression testing;
• Document your work in a clear and concise manner (technical and user-facing);
• Offer support on the developed components of the business departments and cross functional teams.

• You have experience in writing efficient VBA or C# tools having an intuitive interface and a robust error handling;
• Your code is implementing (and you are an enthusiast promoter of) programming best-practices and techniques, such as KISS, DRY, etc.;
• You’re familiar with the software development lifecycle;
• You’re a regular user of code version control tools (GIT or equivalent);
• You’re accustomed to searching for readily available components before writing code to achieve non-business specific tasks;
• Besides Visual Basic, you’re familiar with at least one other programming language (Python, others);
• You have experience with Microsoft Access (and its limitations);
• You like to understand, as much as possible, the purpose and context of your assignments;
• You have good communication skills;
• Partners know you for your commitment and for the quality of your work;
• Your English level is at least B1 (both writing and spoken);
• You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or another technical field + equivalent experience in computers).

• SQL query optimizations, indexes and joins in MS Access are good friends of yours;
• French language knowledge.
