Chief Accountant

Talentor Romania is the local branch of an international Human Resource solution provider and it's currently recruiting for the following role.

Relevant experience as a Chief Accountant;
Excellent computer skills on MS Office, with focus on Excel;
Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases; Navision would represent a plus;
Experience in coordinating other members of the team;
Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, local laws and regulations; IFRS would
represent a plus;
Problem-solving and time-management skills;
Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills

Supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities;
Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report to management and
shareholders;
Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury,
budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
etc;
Perform financial analysis and reporting;
Perform month and year-end accounting activities;
Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations;
Generate financial reports and statements to Managers and shareholders;
Recruit and train new employees in the department;
Plan, assign and review staff’s work;
Set up and monitor accounting KPIs;
Assist with tax audits and tax returns; Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions;
Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
