Senior Financial Controller

Job requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/controlling/finance and reporting experience( background as financial auditor, with process improvement / definition is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance
• Knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards, accounting concepts and compliance regulations are essential
• Good understanding of German and Romanian GAAP
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint (MS-Office and ERP systems experience)
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Business understanding and mindset, with strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to work in a team as well as autonomous
• English Advanced skills for writing, reading and speaking (German is a plus )

What you will do:
• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Ensure quality control over intercompany financial transactions and financial reporting
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget / forecasts
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with defined financial guidelines and procedures
• Develop procedures and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Establish and maintain a financial reporting system to guarantee the accurate presentation of financial results
• Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
• Support the management in decision making process
