Senior developer - Architect for battle control software (Java)

You will drive the technical direction of our application

SitaWare Frontline is a touch screen application installed on Windows tablets in military vehicles and a breakthrough in battle control software. It offers clarity, simplicity and high performance that addresses real world command and control challenges at the frontline.

Likewise, SitaWare Edge is an Android application which is specifically designed for the dismounted commander at the tactical edge.

You will be designing and developing the next generation of our SitaWare products for the mobile market using the latest technologies such as Angular 8+, Angular Material, Java, RESTful APIs, Typescript and Gradle. Essentially, you will be a senior developer, potential architect coding and ensuring that the feature migration is done with high quality and maintainability in mind. Being responsible for driving the technical direction of our application, you will:

• Create and change the design and architecture based on new features
• Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by our developers
• Participate in proposal work for modifications required by our customers
• Up to 23 vacation days, 21 days standard to which 2 more days can be added if you have more than 10 years of work experience

You will spend your first 2 weeks in the Systematic HQ in Denmark, Aarhus.

Senior developer or architect with Java development experience

You have a theoretical bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar combined with 7+ years of experience in programming – the later years either as an architect or senior developer.

With an outgoing personality, you collaborate well, follow up and make things happen as you listen and evaluate the input on technical improvements from your colleagues. In other words, your colleagues know they can raise their questions and concerns to you. On a technical level, we imagine that you:

• Have experience with Java and JavaScript development as well as unit test frameworks
• Have experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, Angular 8 or similar, including experience with designing web applications using Angular Material for mobile, tablets or desktop environments
• May have experience with – or be interested in learning about – GIT, Gradle, TeamCity, Jira SonarQube but also Robot Framework, Bazel, Closure, etc.

We work on classified projects, so as an employee of Systematic, you will need to obtain security clearance.
