Hardware Engineer for Reliability - QL - TSR
Continental Qualification Laboratory is active worldwide as providing comprehensive test service solutions including driving test equipment. We are a young and dynamic team with one simple target: provide complete test systems for testing the continental producs. The segment "Test System Development" develops embedded system solutions for all continental products in all kinds of vehicles according to the processes and methods of the automotive industry. We are always seeking useful applications beyond the automotive area and also offer a range of conceptual and feasibility studies.
As Hardware Engineer, you should be able to:
<li>Design Hardware Architecture;
<li>Optimize circuit modules or complex schematics based on the customer requirements and new technology trends;
<li>Designing, calculating and simulating hardware schematics;
<li>Designing PCB layouts;
<li>Calculate the electrical parameters for proper circuit functionality;
<li>Documenting the hardware design;
<li>Definition of the Bill Of Materials and finding new components respecting certain cost/performance ratio;
<li>Prepare the Order List;
<li>Support quotation process with technical knowledge of designs to meet specifications and requirements;
<li>Generate PCB production files;
<li>Testing of the design in order to validate functionality;
<li>Layout design of the circuit and coordinate of the sample PCB production FMEA for the HW;
<li>Participation to design validation (EMC and Environmental testing);
<li>Cooperate with the development team to reach common project targets.
Job Requirements :
<li>Experience in Hardware Design - Schematic and Layout (minimum 3 Years);
<li>Knowledge of analog and digital circuits;
<li>Knowledge of measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.);
<li>Automotive experience is an advantage;
<li>Knowledge of PSpice is an advantage;
<li>Knowledge of MathCad is an advantage;
<li>EMC knowledge is an advantage;
<li>FMEA knowledge is an advantage;
<li>Organized, results oriented person;
<li>Advanced English knowledge;
<li>Soft skills: result orientation, good communication skills, ability to analyze and organize, team player.
