IT Security Engineer

As a provider of internal IT services for METRO GROUP, METRO SYSTEMS Romania provides specialized consulting to retail companies in all aspects of IT, develops specific solutions along the full value chain and provides a powerful IT infrastructure with a team of over 900 IT professionals.

You’re a great fit if you have:

University degree in information technology or comparable education;
Good understanding of information and communications technology;
Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Linux;
Familiarity with network/web related protocols;
Basic SQL knowledge;
Scripting knowledge;
Phyton and MySQL - will be a plus;
Excellent analytical skills;
Ability to structure new / unknown topics and handle multiple tasks;
High competency to solve problems;
Good communication skills and the ability to work in international teams;
Very good command of English.

What we’re looking for?

Scan of IT systems inside METRO Group and METRO web sites using automatic tools;
Monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information;
Write reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement;
Ensure proactive and reactive security measures in case of computer viruses;
Create scripts for automating scanning, patching, reporting processes.
