- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related field
- Expertise with Linux or UNIX administration and with bash scripting
- Expertise on PostgreSQL database administration and support
- Expertise on database coding using ANSI SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL or T-SQL is an asset
- Expertise on reports development using a reports builder tool is an asset
- Expertise on data modeling and relational database design
- Oracle database administration expertise is an asset.
- Strong communication skills in English (French communication skills are an additional assets)

- Develop configuration scripts, modules and templates to automate the deployment of infrastructure, servers, databases and applications
- Participation in System Architecture planning and design
- Performance tuning and stress testing the systems
- Develop database code using ANSI SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL or T-SQL
- Develop reports using various reporting solutions. Currently we use BIRT, Crystal report, Jasper Reports, XML
- Analyze and tune database performance
- Support developers and testers
- Develop backup and recovery strategies
- Installation and configuration of system servers (hardware and software)
- Install, Configure and Deploy production systems on-site
- Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance
- Database and operating system support, optimization post system deployment
- Train first-line support personnel
