Senior Accountant

Novomatic Romania is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Bucuresti (Otopeni).

The senior accountant will be responsible for Bucharest business unit, working closely with other departments ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial and management reports as well as providing management with information to assist in operational decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance (at ASE or similar)
Strong understanding of accounting theory and practice
4-5+ years accounting/finance experience; CPA a plus, but not required
Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
IFRS / Local Gaap's
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications - ERP-NAV 2017
Advanced level of English language
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, Austrian HQ and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.

Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly/quarterly/yearly close schedules.
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
Analyse revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
Assist with analysing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
Assist with financial and tax audits.
Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analysing and correcting discrepancies.
Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
