System Engineer for Continental Automotive - TSR

We are looking for System Engineers to work with us on automotive product functions. As system engineer and part of the development team, you will have the following responsibilities:

<li> System requirements engineering - analyze, create, manage, and clarify system and subsystem component specifications for the products, as a link between the customer and the product development team;

<li> System architecture design - define system/subsystem architecture considering all the internal and external system requirements based on functional decompositions and interface definition;

<li> Functional Safety Management - analyze and define safety requirements for the development team according to safety standards and car level system constraints. System overview is more than one discipline engineering! The system includes SW, HW, testing and mechanical design engineering at different levels. As system engineer you will be a very important link between different disciplines and you will align and clarify requirements, system decompositions, internal & external interfaces, which will result in a stable basis for development. A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization;

Qualifications

<li> Technical university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Science, etc.);

<li> Good system understanding capabilities and knowledge of the product development areas (microcontrollers & electrical engineering, embedded software, testing);

<li> Good knowledge of requirements management, car architecture, change and configuration management (SPICE and CMMI);

<li> Very good communication skills and customer focus;

<li> Very good English knowledge (writing, reading, and speaking). Any of the following would be an advantage;

<li> Experience with requirement engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect);

<li> Good knowledge and understanding of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/ISO 26262) and software development life cycles;

<li> Cyber security knowledge;

<li> German language knowledge;
