Senior Full-Stack Engineer - International Expansion

The role
We’re expanding Bookster, a product already used by 1,400+ companies in Romania, into new markets. Our first stop is Hungary, followed by India.
This role is about preparing the system for international rollout, both technically and operationally.
The work centers on evolving the platform to support multiple geographies, each with its own constraints and operational specifics.
You’ll go deep into the platform, understand how it works end-to-end, and contribute to decisions that shape how it evolves.
This is a hands-on role with meaningful influence on architecture and the platform’s evolution. You’ll be directly involved in building and evolving the codebase.

What you’ll do

• Build deep understanding of the current platform: architecture, flows, and business logic;
• Identify what needs to change to support multiple markets (localization, operational flows, scalability);
• Contribute to system design and technical decisions;
• Develop backend services in .NET (Azure);
• Support frontend components when needed (React / Angular);
• Collaborate closely with product and operations;
• Own performance, reliability, and cost in production;
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and incident handling when needed;
• Act as a technical counterpart for future India operations as they scale;

What you bring

• Strong backend engineering experience in .NET, with deep exposure to cloud infrastructure (ideally Azure);
• Experience designing and evolving system architecture: service boundaries, data flows, and integration patterns;
• Practical experience with distributed systems, including failure modes, communication patterns, and consistency trade-offs;
• Strong data modeling skills, able to support increasing product and operational complexity;
• Hands-on experience running systems in production - monitoring, debugging, performance, and cost;
• Sound technical judgment - able to make and clearly explain trade-offs under real constraints;
• Experience working in or helping establish collaborative team practices;
• You raise the bar through how you work, collaborate, and give feedback.
