Indirect Buyer

This position is an integral part of the Indirect Operation sourcing team, working closely with commodity buyers and other buyers to maximize savings, cash, quality and delivery of the products/services to the company, as well as effectiveness, compliance, and day-to-day management of the strategic supply base. The Buyer is responsible to maintain data integrity in Purchasing Database. He/she shares best practices with other Buyers and complies to all sourcing procedures and policies. Role:

• The Indirect Buyer manages all site strategic activities related to indirect spend, including but not limited to: 
• Identifies and drives saving opportunities, consumption reduction and value engineering projects through negotiations.
• Conducts eAuctions for goods and services, ensuring best value offering to business.
• Places purchase orders and manages changes to existing purchase orders.
• Creation of Indirect coded material in SAP, IR; SR.
• Maintain plant stocks of spares and Consumable as per plant target.
• Revisits agreed terms with existing suppliers to improve productivity and working capital. He/She implements new deals and identifies new saving opportunities.
• Developing and implementing the Annual Operating Plan together with the Business and the Commodity Strategic Team
• Actively participate in AWPOT & MPO improvement activities (payment terms update at PO/Invoice and VC level)
• Drives implementation of automation opportunities for the assigned sites (new catalogs and value contracts).
• Deals with invoice discrepancies in collaboration with the business stakeholders, supplier and Accounts Payable team.
• Initiates supplier set up and changes on existing suppliers with relevant approval.
• Engages in stakeholder & requisitioner communication aiming to improve understanding of indirect procurement processes and tools.
• Maintains a strong communication with suppliers
• The buyer will ensure all tasks are carried out in line with indirect procurement policy and strategy

• Working knowledge of SAP purchasing system
• Strong communication skill and a team player
• Self-motivated capable of working to aggressive timescales
• Good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize
• Capable of Problem Solving.

• Good understanding of English and another language is a plus
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing environment
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, keyboard handling
• Ability to work in matrix environment
