2nd Line Roaming Platform Support Engineer

Your day to day:  The candidate will be responsible to ensure high availability and performance of the platforms managing roaming services - Steering of Roaming, VHE, WSMS, LTE, STP, Global Facts and Central Number Portability.      With these activities you will have a great impact on our business: 

• Responsible for all hardware and software topics (processes, operating system, system logs, user management etc). In case of incidents or issues, investigates and solves within the agreed SLAs; 
• Notifies, informs and updates all key stakeholders about the ongoing incidents; 

• Follow-up with Vendor on complex technical issues, providing support and required information; 
• Performs configuration, corrections and maintenance activities according to internal procedures (Change management, Incident management and Problem management); 
• Supports new projects and technologies transferred within the team; 
• Participates to workshops and trainings in order to improve technical knowledge; 
• Provides feedback related to the development and improvement of the internal processes and activities. Supports and is actively involved in the automation process (s, applications, tools). 

• Advanced knowledge managing: Unix, Linux, Solaris systems (optimisation, troubleshooting, backup); 
• Experience with virtualised solutions; 
• Knowledge on database administration; 
• Automation s development; 
• Knowledge of networking protocols; 

• Basic telecommunications concepts and protocols knowledge; 
• Advanced knowledge of English language (written and verbally); 
• Great communicator - ability to perform workshops to other colleagues (within team or other departments); 
• 2-3 years working experience within an operations environment (preferably System Administrator); 
• Collaborative working style, ability to work within a team and in an international environment.
