Mechanical Laboratory Engineer

Check out your daily tasks:/What will you be doing?

* Test, verify and evaluate components and subassemblies;
* Prepare testing environment and test specifications;
* Create test reports, draw conclusions and come up with recommendations;
* Solve mechanical design work packages with appropriate complexity in close cooperation with other departments / locations;
* Document the work appropriately - reports;
* Know and adheres to the defined development processes;
* Schedule and track own tasks within the framework of a given plan, reports status and deviations;
* Maintain the functionality of the test equipment;
* Communicate with project team in order to exchange information and identify improvement opportunities;
* Collaborate with Project Responsible and/or QA in verifying results;
* Maintain test specifications.

Besides being awesome, you need to have:

* A university degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering or automotive engineering;
* Good knowledge of hydraulics, electromechanical components and logical thinking;
* Good knowledge of tolerances, materials and coating of metallic surfaces;
* Good communication skills;
* Good knowledge of English language, German is a plus;
* Programming knowledge e.g. Diadem and LabView is a plus.

Continental in Romania


In the time frame 1999 - 2018, Continental invested about i 1.4 billion in its Romanian operations. All the corporation's five divisions are represented in Romania. Continental has seven production units and four research and development centers in the cities of Timisoara, Sibiu, Carei, Nadab, Brasov and Iasi. Continental has invested more than 320 million euros in Sibiu since 2004. Here are annually produced about 33 million electronic control units. Among the products developed, tested and manufactured in Sibiu are intelligent braking systems, driver assistance systems or acceleration pedals that limit the speed in case of obstacle detection. Continental Sibiu has more than 3,800 employees, of which 1,000 are engineers in the R & D center and over 300 are engineers in the production area.
