    Technical Skills
    Experience with AIX 4.3 AIX 7.1
    HMC, VIO, NIM, LPAR, Live partition Mobility Skill
    Experience with Backup software and strategies
    Familiarity with RAID disk technologies SAN infrastructure

    Responsibilities

    As AIX Administrator you will be part of our Managed Services team, which provides support for the operating system (LinuxAIX) on servers by implementing standard parameter configuration and version levels. These services include providing support of the Operating System configuration and associated file systems, log files, processes, problem determination, problem resolution, software, administration tools, utilities, security, and hardware. Administrative tools are installed to allow support to be provided locally or from a remote location. Standard problem change control processes are followed.

    Tasks and Activities
    Event, Incident, Problem Management (analyze alerts and logs), Root Cause Analysis
    Install and support the server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities including upgrades
    Performance and availability analysis
    Promote and maintain server patch management practices
    Perform security updates
    Ensure compliance with security guidelines
    Liaison with Customer Security Officer
    3rd party vendor coordination and escalation
    Maintenance of datacenter infrastructure
    Provision of new LPARs, VIOs
    Troubleshoot performance issues, troubleshoot OS configuration and hardware failures and apply fixes
    Create and implement change requests for incidentsproblems as needed
    Trend analysis of issues and corrective actions
    Access management in Linux environment
    Backup and Recovery procedures
    Initiate, assess, test, verify, document and quality assure system updates
    Create and update technical documentation

    Working hours:
    Monday to Friday 09:00 to 19:00 (covering customer business hours, 2 shifts, 1 hour difference)
    Availability for on call support outside business hours.
