Line Online Portal Operations

Role purpose:   2nd Line Operations of NFVi Cloud infrastructure in a multi-vendor environment.    Preventive and corrective second level troubleshooting ensuring quality and continuity of service and the restoring timefor NFVi Cloud infrastructure.   In collaboration with 1stLine Operations teams, work out procedures related to the analysis of alarms inorder to detect and eliminate faults. Perform data configuration, software rollout and support integration activities with planning and delivery functions.   Key accountabilities and decision ownership  

• In case of incident, assure trouble shootinganalysis and all the repair actions, including vendor support escalation, in order to achieve service restoration of NFVi Cloud infrastructure
• Perform proactive maintenance activities to prevent incidents and constantly optimize the network, e.g. Daily Walkthroughs and Health checks for NFVi components.
• Assure planned work activities, upgrade NFVi components & virtualisation stack, Onboarding and implementation of Service requests ensuring quality of serviceand avoiding regression on cloud functionalities
• Knowledge sharing in order to increase technical skills of other teams involved in deployment and operations activities in the network

• Very good knowledge of NFVi cloud infrastructure and virtualization (VMware)
• Very good knowledge with IT components for compute nodes, switches & storage
• Team working oriented
• English  (spoken and written)
• German  (spoken and written)
• University degree: faculty of Engineering sciences (Information technology, Informatics)
• 1-3 years of experience in Cloud Operations and Maintenance activities
• Scripting knowledge (Python) desirable
