BI Analytics Consultant

Your Role:

As a BI & Analytics Consultant you will be part of the Data Science team. This is an independent team with focus on innovation and cutting edge technologies. The BI Consultant will work closely with other team members and will have the chance to make a name in company by improving the business through their recommendations. You will report to Team Lead and further to stakeholders.

The successful candidate should have a functional profile to bridge the gap between Business and IT in order to deliver value-added predictive and descriptive analytics solutions to our stakeholders. The BI & Analytics Consultant should prove business understanding and ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.

Your main tasks/responsibilities will include:

Participate in the full lifecycle of an analytics or BI project: from gathering and understanding the client needs over creating the functional design, architecture the solution, implementation of the dashboards and ad-hoc analysis, to acting as the main source of confidence for the BI system implementation
Provide expertise in design, development and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics systems

Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals

Performance tuning on the BI system maintained

Assure data analysis on reports
Analyse the business performance and develop reports on performance metrics
Assure high availability of the reporting system managed
Act as an expert-wise for the dashboards created - learn business and know-how
Maintain a strong relationship with the stakeholders and asses their reporting needs
Be proactive and recommend actions based on found insights

The qualified candidate will have:

Technical Skills:

Relational Database querying: SQL
Non-relational Database querying: NoSQL (MongoDB ideally)
BI systems hands-on: SiSense ideally, PowerBI, Qlickview, Tableau etc

Data oriented skills:

Data manipulation: data mining, data exploring, data preparation, data aggregation
Data Engineering: ability to create ETL processes, run CRON jobs or define a database structure;
Data Architecture: ability to understand concepts such as Data Lake, DWH, Data Mart, OLTP/OLAP
Data Analysis: ability to conclude and recommend based on reports and visualizations

Others:

Snowplow/Google Analytics knowledge or equivalent

Understand business concepts and ability to transpose them into technical implementation.
