Lead Process Development & Automation Engineer

Talentor Romania is the local branch of an international Human Resource solution provider and it's currently recruiting for the following role.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering;
At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role in process development and automation in a company with international exposure;
Experience in working with: CAD: Autodesk - Inventor
Working experience with Beckhoff SPS would represent a plus
Experience in leading a team;
Strong leadership and project management skills;
Problem-solving skills;
Good level of English and/or German language.

Involved in new product development and current product improvements, taking on both the technical challenges of process improvements, as well as key project coordination responsibilities.
Lead a team comprised of Mechanical Designers, Electric Designers and Programmers;
Work closely with the Product Design team in Germany;
Define priorities and direction for all automation and process control systems activities;
Supervise and train junior team members in best practices and standardized methodologies;
Follow project from concept to realization;
Provide technical leadership and oversight for the start-up and troubleshooting of process equipment and critical automation systems;
Ensure compliance of the manufacturing automation and controls systems with regulatory agencies guidelines;
Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the Automation team in alignment with the corporate and site standards and guidelines;
Prepare reports related to automation engineering group activities that will include KPI’s, schedules, resource needs, budget, etc for site leadership team and global network;
Provide input, review and approval for policies and procedures associated with the commissioning and qualification of process automation systems and manufacturing related computerized systems;
Follow the Company’s Group Design Standards;
Maintain expertise on alternate methods, techniques and best practices used in the field; routinely benchmark process performance
Provide Subject Matter Experts to support internal and regulatory agencies inspections, including presentations and technical reports.
