Junior Operations and Site Reliability Engineer

This role will participate in operations and site reliability aspects of worldwide private cloud platform to compete with cloud offerings from VMware, Nutanix, Amazon and Microsoft. This individual is a developer or an operations engineer with troubleshooting and automation coding skills who is passionate about operating Internet facing as well as internal infrastructure at scale with zero downtime. This role provides the opportunity to inject reliability and improve operational aspects of the infrastructure throughout the entire development lifecyle, through designing, developing infrastructure as a code, automating deployment, operations and monitoring processes.

This is a software development and operations position in a highly collaborative environment working directly with Development, QA, Operations and Product Management teams across geographies.

Final year student/graduate in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with programming skills/experience) or Computer Science (with hardware skills/experience) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Java, C, Shell Scripting
Linux, networking (L2/L3) knowledge. Knowledge of any of the following is a big plus: DPDK, linux kernel tuning, virtualization, storage multipathing, iSCSI, NVMeOF
Excellent communications skills – able to work with teams across cultures fostering trust and collaboration.
Good english speaking and writing skills
Investigation and debugging skills
