Data Engineer (Python)

What we're looking for:

- Python: at least 1 year of professional experience;
- knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
- passion for writing quality software;
- passion for learning and experimenting.

Would be nice if you:

- are familiar with any of the buzzwords above (especially SQL, Hadoop, PySpark);
are confortable with Linux / shell scripting;
- have worked with git before.

At Data & Advanced Analytics we write software that handles terabytes of data every day, reliably.

We try hard to deliver quality, useful data to our colleagues and to the algorithms written by our Data Scientists, so that we collectiveley take the best decisions as a company.

We use Python to write the data pipelines, the internal microservices and the automated data quality checks we run non-stop. We care about code quality and proper software development process. We code review everything and obsess about the best git workflow we should use.

We currently spend about half of our time learning about new techniques, platforms and languages, setting up prototypes, experimenting and choosing the best options. If you don't know already, you'll learn about: Apache Airflow, Hadoop, SQL, AWS (S3, Aurora, Redshift, Lambda, SageMaker), Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, Django REST Framework. We'll learn together :)
